20 Oktober, 2026The Lantern That 2-Year-Olds Can Make Themselves (Tear, Don’t Cut)
🍂 A glowing autumn lantern – easy to make with little ones!
As the days get shorter, this homemade lantern brings a warm, cosy glow to your home. The best part? Even children aged 2 and up can join in! Instead of cutting, little ones can simply tear the tissue paper into small pieces and use them to decorate the jar.
What you'll need:
1 empty jam jar
Tissue paper in autumn colours
Diluted craft glue and a paintbrush
Pressed autumn leaves
1 LED tealight
How to make it:
Tear the tissue paper into small pieces, brush a little diluted glue onto the jar, and stick the paper on. Decorate with pressed autumn leaves and let everything dry. Add an LED tealight, and your beautiful autumn lantern is ready to shine! ✨
A simple craft activity that encourages creativity and creates lovely moments together.
Tip: Use a shatterproof container for toddlers and supervise them throughout the activity. 🧡
