20 Oktober, 2026Going into the Forest with Kids: 5 Rules Almost Every Daycare Follows
🌳 5 Forest Rules Every Child Should Know
The forest is the perfect playground – free, full of adventure and different every day! With five simple rules, children can explore, play and discover nature while learning to respect their surroundings.
The 5 Forest Rules:
Stay within hearing distance – stop at the red marker.
Nothing goes in your mouth – only eat food brought from home.
Follow the stick rule – always point the tip towards the ground.
Look, but leave it there – enjoy nature without taking things home.
Leave no trace – take all rubbish home with you.
🌿 Make learning fun with simple gestures to help children remember each rule. You can also use the printable poster in the daycare cloakroom or bring it along on your next forest adventure.
Help little explorers enjoy the forest safely, confidently and with respect for nature! 🍂
